Jarrell ISD is experiencing rapid growth with an influx of new housing developments bringing new students to the district.

Historically, Jarrell ISD has experienced increased growth for more than five years. Since 2012, the district has welcomed more than 416 additional students, including a 12.7 % growth rate from 2014 to 2015.

According to the district’s Fall 2016 demographic report, growth in the district is projected to increase by 12 percent prior to the 2017-18 school year, with an additional 953 students expected to arrive over the next five years and an additional 2,161 students projected in 10 years.

Current CAMPUS Capacity Projections

Due to the current growth of the district, all Jarrell ISD schools are projected to be near or exceeding functional capacity utilization within the next five years.

The proposed Jarrell ISD bond would allow for construction of a second elementary school and grade realignment bringing grades 3-5 from the current intermediate school level to the elementary school level. The existing intermediate school building will remain to be utilized for district use, as needed.

The bond would also add capacity to the existing middle school and high school with proposed additions and renovations.
